Nia Bliss

joyful movement for fitness, self-discovery, and transformation...

About Nia...

Created by Debbie Rosas and Carlos Rosas 25 years ago, the Nia Technique combines movements and concepts from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Blending music, movement, and self-expression into dynamic, hour-long routines, this class is integrative, invigorating, and inspirational!

Balancing technical precision and freeform bliss, Nia emphasizes creativity, conditioning, community and individu
al expression. The true depth of the work lies in a rich body of education that develops into a powerful life practice. With a philosophy rooted in “The Joy of Movement,” Nia teaches people to choose pleasure as the path toward physical, mental and emotional health. With a “No-Pain, More-Gain” attitude, Nia bursts boundaries of age and fitness levels, delivering a fun, effective and life changing practice for all.

From the Heart

"I LOVE Nia, and the joy and physical conditioning it has given me..." - Marsha O.

“It is so much more than a fitness class....Now I can't live without it...Nia has given me permission to let go, to move, to be free.  And best of all, these feelings follow me into my life...”  – Sarah H.

“Nia is full of joy, energy, and focused attention. Danielle brings her passion for teaching Nia to every class. I invite you all to experience Nia. Your body, mind, and soul will say thank you."  – Jennifer W.

“Nia is so hard to describe with words. It's inadequate to read about compared to experiencing it in one's own time. I wish there was a way to zap the feeling I have at the beginning of class all the way to the end into those who have never tried it before.... Excitement at the beginning, and by the end when all drenched from head to toe in sweat I was blissful and elated, but most of all content. Though, class was always over too soon, there was never anything missing because Nia covers all the bases necessary that leaves one feeling complete. No part isolated, none is forgotten, while another overworked...It's quite honestly a perfect balance of what feels necessary to become more strong and agile mentally, and physically..." - Kristy G.
